An unfinished television stand was distressed, painted with acrylic latex paint and “aged” with Light Brown Briwax. Steel wool or sand paper can also be used to rub through the paint at numerous places to simulate “wear” and heavy use. Use your imagination and creativity.

Supplies needed:

  • Acrylic Latex paint
  • Brush
  • Steel wool or sandpaper
  • Light Brown Briwax
  • Soft Cloth for Briwax application
  • Soft Cloth for Briwax buffing

It could take several days for your paint to cure prior to applying Briwax. Allow the Briwax to gather in the corners, crevasses and carved areas of your piece.

The detail shows that the Briwax will color all of the crevasses and will also color the wood where the paint has been sanded.
